Instructions for Obtaining NVQ Equivalency Letter for Mapped Courses - SLIATE

If you are applying for an Equivalency letter for mapped courses from the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), please follow the instructions below:
Documents Required:
* Original final certificate and transcript.
* Certified Photocopies final certificate and transcript certified by the Director of SLIATE or ATIs.
* Submit a photocopy of your NIC.
* Request Letter addressed to the Director General, TVEC, formally requesting the issuance of an equivalency letter.
* Payment of receipt of a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1,000/-.
Processing Time:
• It takes one week to issue the equivalency letter.
• You may collect your equivalency letter from the TVEC office after one week.
If You Cannot Attend in Person:
If you are unable to come in person, you may authorize someone else to collect the letter on your behalf by submitting:
• A signed authorization letter addressed to the Director General, TVEC.
• A copy of your NIC

Advanced Technological Institute Badulla

The Advanced Technological Institute (ATI) Badulla is a distinguished higher educational institution in the Uva Province, renowned for its commitment to higher education excellence. As one of the 19 Advanced Technological Institutes under the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE), ATI Badulla offers a variety of multidisciplinary programs aimed at Advanced Level (A/L) qualified students. SLIATE was established under Parliament Act No. 29 of 1995, SLIATE operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, ensuring that its curricula are aligned with national educational standards and industry needs.
ATI Badulla was initially established in July 1996 at the Technical College in Badulla, offering its first courses in Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Higher National Diploma in Commerce, National Diploma in Business Studies, and National Diploma in English. Following a directive from the SLIATE Head Office, ATI Badulla became an independent institution on March 1, 1997. The formal establishment as a separate institute took place at an auspicious time, 9:20 a.m., on March 13, 1997.
The institute plays a pivotal role in equipping students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary for professional success, contributing significantly to the development of the region and the country.
